European Highlights: Barcelona

From Paris to Barcelona and already seen a lot (of countries) and new things. Lots of new things and experiences. Def no regrets. "Bar-seh-loan-ah" (with a slight Spanish lisp).

Arriving into Barcelona and already taken aback by the differences in (mainly) architecture from France to Spain.

The Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família is a large Roman Catholic church in Barcelona, designed by Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí.

European Highlights: Avignon

In the South of France, Avignon a very medieval town lays surround by it's history. A classic moat and stone wall as high as 3 or 4 storey building. After having a look-see around, I joined a group of my fellow travellers for dinner. Brasserie du Théàtre, I chose grilled bream #noregrets.

The restaurant of choice :)

European Highlights: Rome and Vatican City

Rome, a very ancient city with blends of the obvious ancient elements and modern twists. One key highlight being the Colosseum. With construction starting 70 AD, it has mostly survived test of time. With efforts to rebuild some parts have befallen time, it remains almost 2000 years later (mostly) intact. A highlight of the mighty Roman Empire and their incredible design / building techniques.
